Last weekend my C&G students of Ladybank opened their exhibition, the culmination of the year’s work, and the response from the visitors was amazing. The sketchbooks prove, if proof was needed, that development of the original ideas, through sampling and exploring different outcomes, works! And then to look from the wonderful sketchbooks to the finished piece, often more than one piece, of work, and see how the thinking has been resolved. Exciting. The students come together for one day a week throughout the year but the work that goes on at home – well, it’s clear that many hours have been spent.

Well done, it looked amazing. More photos to follow of individual pieces of work.
